Soul Calibur 3 Review

Soul Calibur

Namco did it again; after a great game like Tekken 5, it released another legendary fighting game. Soul Calibur III, the newest game in the Soul Calibur series, was the only candidate capable of dethroning Tekken 5.

We were amazed when we first saw the screenshots. The characters and backgrounds looked great, but now we understand that the screenshots were nothing compared to the game. As soon as the game starts, the graphics are dazzling. It is impossible not to admire the graphics when the magnificent harmony of the vivid colors used with each other, the details of the characters ‘ clothes and faces, as well as perfectly designed arenas and flawless, moving backgrounds are combined. The effects are as successful as the graphics. As such, Soul Calibur III also passes Tekken 5 as the graphics, replacing PS2 as the best-charted fighting game.

My Life… is not for your taking!

Fights go much faster now. As soon as it starts, you can die. The same goes for your opponent, of course. Here we also see the ring Out event found in other Soul Calibur games. One of the characters is defeated when he goes outside the combat zone. Sometimes it can be frustrating. The enemy’s health is about to run out, and you can find yourself outside the ring with a blow when you play comfortably without even getting a scratch. That way, even with one shot, the fight can end.

Artificial intelligence is pretty good. He defends himself well, tries to get out of there immediately when he gets close to the edge of the ring and does his best to get us out of the ring. And when the difficulty level is increased, it makes the opposite player sweat a lot, and it can even annoy a person.

All the places we fight are beautiful. There’s a piece of art called” Lost Cathedral ” that you can’t fight from looking around. There is no background disconnect in any of the venues. Moving backgrounds have kept up with the environment very well. From time to time, we fight on moving floors, like a platform floating on a river.

Soul Calibur

New characters and moves have been added to the game, where almost all of the old characters are present. The looks of the old characters have been slightly altered. Also, some movements have changed. First-time players can enter the” Command List ” option and learn all the movements of the characters.

Soul Calibur III welcomes us with an extremely simple menu. “Tales of Souls”, one of the single-player game modes, forms the story section of the game. As we move forward in this mode, we have some options. For example, if our character realizes that he is being followed, depending on our wishes, he can fight those who follow us, or he flees from there, performing nine-tenths of masculinity. But at the end of the story, not much changes. Do not leave the gamepad in your hands in the deceptions, because if you do not press the right keys at the right time, you will start some fights at a disadvantage.
